Judah S. Garfinkle, DMD, MS, PC

Dr. Judah Garfinkle earned his D.M.D. from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, his M.S. and Orthodontic Certificate from the University of Kentucky, and completed a Fellowship in Craniofacial Orthodontics at NYU Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. He received the Harry Sicher Research Award from the American Association of Orthodontists in 2006 for his project utilizing orthodontic mini-implants in adolescents. Dr. Judah is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a reviewer for several peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Judah is currently the Director of Craniofacial Orthodontics and Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery and Orthodontics at Oregon Health and Science University. His clinical and research interests include the use of orthodontic skeletal anchorage devices and the treatment of patients with craniofacial deformities and other special needs.

With his leisure time, Dr.Judah enjoys spending time with his family, working around their home, tending to his grandfather's bonsai trees and being outdoors. Dr. Judah is in the process of staring a non-profit organization whose goal is to make sure that every person born with a craniofacial birth defect in Oregon gets the comprehensive care necessary to enjoy a happy, healthy life, regardless of the family's ability to pay.

His wife, Alison, a native of California, is enjoying Portland and being a mother. Alison has a master's degree in higher education and has been able to maintain a part time involvement with her professional passion of international education.
