Drs. Richard and Judah are supported by a team of certified professionals who are passionate about orthodontics. We embrace the uniqueness of each patient and strive to provide courteous, professional service to each individual who enters our office. Our staff is trained and skilled. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the latest advancements in orthodontics by attending continuing education programs through the American Association of Orthodontists, Invisalign® and the Damon System.

Emily Englund
Position: Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator
I joined the Garfinkle Orthodontics team in April of 2008, bringing with me seven years of practice management experience. I feel truly fortunate to have such wonderful people to work with everyday. Doctors, staff and patients make coming to work feel more like a hobby than a job! When you come to our practice you will spend time with me on your first visit as I help guide you into the orthodontic treatment that the Doctor recommends. I was born and raised in Oregon but lived for seven years in Phoenix, AZ before coming back to the Northwest. It is good to be home! My husband, Kris, and I live in Beaverton with our little white schnauzer named Oliver. I enjoy going to the ballet as well as watching and playing tennis. I look forward to meeting you at your first visit and getting to watch your smile transform.

Position: Administrative Coordinator
I have been working in the dental profession for 13 years. I have worked in the field of Orthodontics for the past eight years and it is, by far, my favorite! It is a lot of fun to partner with patients who are excited about their dazzling smiles!
Working with the Drs. Garfinkle is the most fun there is in orthodontics. They not only attend all required continuing education classes but they also stay at the front edge of all the new technology available for patient care. Dr. Judah also provides continuing education to other providers. If it's new in orthodontics – Richard and Judah know about it!
I have three gorgeous children. My son, Damien is 17, my daughter, Ariana, is 16 and my youngest is Elijah, 14.

I have been a part of the Garfinkle Orthodontics team since September 2005. I feel blessed to have found such a great place to work and great people to work with. I love that I can come to work and feel like I am at home with my family. When you come into our office, we will have fun getting to know each other while Dr. Garfinkle and I give you a great smile! I was born and raised in Eugene and I moved to Portland in 2005 in search of something new. I married my husband, Adam, in October 2006 and had a beautiful baby girl on March 13th, 2007 - her name is Faith Marie. I enjoy more than anything being with my family, running and just enjoying life!

Position: Orthodontic Assistant
I started at Garfinkle Orthodontics in September of 2008. I came to the practice with almost two years of orthodontic experience. The best part about working at Garfinkle Orthodontics is feeling like part of a big family. Everyday goes by fast when you work with such nice people! When you come to our office I'll get a chance to know you as I assist the doctor to transform your already wonderful smile into a radiant one. I grew up in Chico, California which is about three hours south of the Oregon border. After graduating high school I moved to San Diego to attend dental assisting school. After a couple of years there, I moved up here to Portland and I don't plan on leaving! I live downtown with my boyfriend, Joel. In my spare time I enjoy photography, camping, and dining out with Joel and my friends. I look forward to welcoming you to the Garfinkle Orthodontics family.

Since I was little I pictured myself working in the dental field. I am so grateful to have begun my career at Garfinkle Orthodontics soon after completing my education. It is more rewarding than I ever imagined and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to become a part of. I look forward to meeting all of you and assisting the Doctors to provide you with the finest care. On a personal note, I grew up in Newport, Oregon and it was so much fun growing up with eleven siblings! I now live with my older brother Ace, little sister Lisa and our 2 dogs Lucy and Lily. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, working out and just having fun!
