From my home to yours:
I hope this note finds you safe and healthy while hunkering down in a comfortable place.
The news of Governor Kate Brown’s recent Executive Order mandating that all dental/medical offices pause non-emergent care until June 15th, 2020 came as quite a shock.
We recognize that the pandemic is impacting all of us in various ways, including significant interruption to your orthodontic treatment. Understanding the reason behind the Executive Order might help to process the situation and help you maintain an optimistic perspective during this time. By pausing non-emergent medical and dental services across the state, we help reduce the spread of the virus and redirect the much-needed PPE (face masks and gloves) to the brave health care teams serving in our community hospitals and clinics.
While I want nothing more than to return to the work I love of serving you, please join me in gratitude for those health care workers literally putting their lives on the line caring for our community, and maintain a positive attitude as it relates to the disruption of your orthodontic care. In the meantime, we want to be as available as possible for you.
For non-urgent administrative questions, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or call the office at 503-246-9802 and leave a message. We will be checking both regularly and will usually be able to reply in 1-2 days during the week.
For more urgent clinical questions, (or just to say hello), please feel free to email me directly at email@example.com, or call/text my cell at 503-894-1339. We are also working to add some virtual care options, stay tuned.
We have created a resource guide for some common clinical situations you can refer to here. Through these uncertain times, our team remains strong and focused and our shared vision continues to resonate loudly: To craft smiles that elevate the spirit.
Share warm smiles with everyone and hug those you can,
Dr. Judah and the Garfinkle Ortho Team
*Sadly, our annual patient appreciation day at SuperPlay on April 5 has been indefinitely postponed. Thank you for your understanding.
