The remarkable new OrthoPulse technology reduces orthodontic treatment time and makes treatment more comfortable. If you have any questions about your orthodontic treatment, or if you’re curious how OrthoPulse can help speed up your orthodontic experience, contact our office!

How does OrthoPulse work?

By fitting the mouthpiece around your existing orthodontic appliance and using the device for 10 minutes every day, OrthoPulse can speed up tooth movement through the use of near infrared light. This light facilitates tooth movement and cell regeneration which may decrease the duration of your orthodontic treatment and can help make your orthodontic experience more comfortable.

Is OrthoPulse safe?

Yes! OrthoPulse is completely safe with no side effects and has been cleared by the FDA for use with both braces and aligners.

How much time will OrthoPulse reduce my treatment?

Results vary based on the individual, but some patients have seen as much as an 80% reduction in treatment time.

How do I know if I am biting into the mouthpiece correctly and with the right amount of force?

Bite pressure on the mouthpiece should be just firm enough to hold your OthoPulse device in place without using your hands. Avoid biting forcibly into the mouthpiece, as that may cause excessive wear.

What is the best way to clean the OrthoPulse device?

The mouthpiece should be rinsed well with lukewarm water and left to air dry, or wiped down with a cleansing wipe.

Is there some way that OrthoPulse can “track” my usage?

Yes! OrthoPulse has a mobile app that allows you to track your usage.

Can I sanitize my OrthoPulse and share it with a friend or family member who also has braces?

OrthoPulse® is designed for use by one patient only, and sharing the device may impact the appliance’s warranty as progress tracking and battery levels.

What do the different status light colors mean?

Green means the device is charged and ready for use. Yellow means the device does not have sufficient battery power for a full treatment session. A solid blue light means treatment is in process, and a blinking blue light means that the treatment session is complete and it’s time to flip the device if you haven’t already.

How long does the battery last?

A full battery is good for one full 10 minute treatment session. It is recommended that you keep the device in it’s charging case when not in use.
